Every time a user needs to run an unsigned application, Windows 10 shows a Smartscreen. If a user is sure about the safety of the application it is necessary to bypass Smartscreen malware filter. This happens with our applications (screensavers).

Not all users know that it is possible to disable Smartscreen.

Follow the instruction below to learn how to do it. But before switching off the Smartscreen make sure you have enabled Windows Defender or another anti-virus program in order avoid getting your computer infected with real threats, such as viruses and other types of malware.

1.  Click the Windows "Start" button and click the "Settings" (this is the second icon above the Start icon)

2. In the search box of the opened window type “SmartScreen”. Then select "Change SmartScreen Settings" in the drop down menu.

3. Now you are in the Security & Maintenance window. In the left sidebar click the "Change Windows SmartScreen settings" to open up the SmartScreen settings panel.

4. In the Windows SmartScreen settings panel, simply tick the box of "Don't do anything (turn off Windows SmartScreen)" and click the "OK" button.

  So the SmartScreen on Windows 10 is disabled.

 To switch on back the  SmartScreen, follow the same steps but select "Warn before running an unrecognized app" instead, then the "OK" button.
